Our Certified Medication Aide (CMA) training course includes:
• 24 hours of combined classroom and/or online learning with skills lab / clinical instruction lead by a state approved Medication Aide Instructor. We offer a fast track in-person/hybrid course, as well as an online option.
•Study materials and textbook tailored for your success in our CMA course.
• Access to online platform with fellow classmates and instructor.
• Assistance with finding employment opportunities after you’ve successfully completed the course.
Potential Employment Settings:
This course prepares students to seek employment in assisted livings and nursing homes in the state of Georgia as a Certified Medication Aide.
As a Medication Aide, you will work under the direction of a licensed nurse by assisting and monitoring individuals with medication administration.
The course emphasizes the importance of establishing an ethical and caring relationship with clients and is recommended for individuals containing an active CNA certification working to enhance their skill sets.
•Students must be 18 years of age.
•Students must have a Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with no adverse findings.
•Student must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
This is a part-time 24-hour course:
We accept private pay students only. Private pay balances must be paid in full prior to the course start date.
A non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable deposit are due at the time of enrollment to hold your seat. That deposit is applied to your course price.

You will attend classes and take your state exam at one of our Valdosta, Ga locations:

To sit for the Georiga CMA Exam, students must successfully pass our course and make at least an 80% on the State exam. Once you’ve passed the CMA state exam, you will be added to the Georgia CMA registry. This is where you and your employer will check your status as a CMA.
You’ll want to check the registry regularly so that you do not allow your CMA to expire. You’ll be required to do a CMA Update course within two years to keep your CMA credential active.
The Fast Track 4-Day course option is held twice monthly Thurs- Sun in addition to online instruction. Online portion of course is 1 week in length prior to the 4-Day in person and clinical requirement. At the end of the course, class participants who successfully complete the course will sit for the Georgia Medication Aide State Exam proctored by an MTA instructor.

Within the online cohort, all classroom instruction is completed online over a period of two weeks. Students are required to attend in-person classes at the end of the two week period on Sat & Sun. At the end of the course, class participants sit for the Georgia State Medication Aide Exam proctored by an MTA instructor on the day after their skills lab, which is a Sunday. This exam is given in-person after the student has successfully completed the online course and skills lab.

Yes, you are required to already have a valid, Georgia CNA certification to be eligible to complete this program.
No, we only offer this program in the state of Georgia.
The state of Georgia does not require an accreditation for Medication Aide programs. It does require the program to be taught by a Registered Nurse, Physician, or Pharmacist who is an approved Medication Aide program instructor through the state of Georgia. If you are unsure if your program instructor is an approved instructor to teach a Medication Aide program in Georgia, you can visit the state’s website here to look up your instructor. If you would like to look up our instructor, simply email us at info@madilintrainingacademy.com and we will be happy to give you our instructor’s license number for you to verify online.
Yes, our curriculum is aligned with the stringent requirements set forth by the State of Georgia. MTA’s Medication Aide Program curriculum is crafted by an approved Georgia Medication Aide Instructor and Master’s prepared Nursing Educator.

Yes, once you have successfully completed our CMA program, and pass your state exam, you will be listed on the Georgia registry as a Certified Medication Aide.
Any current or future employers will be able to verify your certification via the state‘s website.
Applicants cannot register for waitlisted Cohorts, as these classes are not taking additional applicants because they are either full or the class date is tentative. If you are interested in a waitlisted class, please click join the waitlist and you will be contacted when a seat is available on your desired date. If you do not submit a waitlist form, we will not contact you when seats become available.
